Google's Patent Search Engine Reviewed

Google has quietly released into public beta a new patent search engine: Google Patents.

The intuitive simplicity of the user experience and Google Books image functionality applied to the patent search results is fast and fluid and vastly more enjoyable than through the US PTO website.

Using Google's Advanced Patent Search options, you have a very flexible and efficient set of tools which allow you to quickly drill down to the specific types of patent searches you want using criteria like patent number, inventor, and filing date.
